In 1965 the Water Utility Company and Junction of the Jurmala City Utility Company were created, which was transformed into a water supply and sewerage company (YUKU) in Jurmala City on October 1, 1975. On May 8, 2001, a non-profit organization, a local government limited liability company Jūrmala Water, was established.
